Try being a trucker these days - vast majority of truck stops have closed their restaurants and put in fast food which is DRASTICALLY overpriced compared to regular stand alone places. Combine that with a lot of Walmarts banning truck parking and it's become a total pain in the arse to try to save while at work. I have a solid network of truck friendly grocery stores all over the country that I swing by to top off the fridge - absolutely cannot afford to eat in the restaurants anymore when there are actual restaurants.
For example - Iron Skillet in Kingdom City MO: three egg omlette, hashbrowns, ham, and coffee will set you back $30.
