I see the inverse of this happen fairly regularly. Buy a policy valid for six months. Get a card showing that. Pay in monthly installments and stop paying after the first month.
You’ve got a card showing coverage but it’s actually cancelled because you didn’t pay the premium.
I’d love to see law enforcement go to a more real-time model of being able to access a database.

Would be curious to know if they could use the same technology to scan for stolen cars/plates to also scan for uninsured cars
