My Dad was on Okinawa gearing up for the Invasion of Japan. He was ecstatic when the bomb was dropped. My Uncle was in Czechoslovakia awaiting orders. I'm sure he was excited as well.

A good fiend from hs dad was part of the flight crew that got Bock's Car ready for the Nagaski mission. He said after they saw the photos from the first bomb and realized this could sure end the war every system on that B-29 was doubled tripled and quadrupled checked.
