I love Whiteyball. Our high school coach used to preach this, largely because we had no power hitters, but it worked very well. We frustrated the hell out of other teams with our baserunning, patience at the plate, and just putting the ball in play instead of trying to crush the ball over the fence.

This actually worked great in high school because high school fielders had a much higher success rate with pop flies than hard grounders/line drives.
