Spader has actually had a damn fine career .... he's outlasted most of his brat pack peers except perhaps Rob Lowe and Demi Moore.
This thread made me stop and think about some of his roles such as Boston Legal, Sex, Lies and Video Tapes. The Black List, 2 Days in the Valley, Stargate, Wolf, White Palace, etc., etc., etc.

Spader went from playing pretty boys with no conscience to playing ugly middle aged guys with no conscience.
