2009 will be a very critical year for LSU FOOTBALL

I'm worried and anxious to see how Les Miles and the Tigers will respond after a very dissappointing 2008 season. I really don't know if we have the talent that most people think we have. Remember these are Les Miles recruits that are playing now. Will the defensive coordinator problem be address? I love LSU FOOTBALL but Les Miles make me nervous, I never had
a good feeling about him. Maybe its me being paranoid but he seems lost at times. He never made any key adjustments during this miserable season. Things just went downhill and nothing was ever done about it. I never saw 7-5 coming to be honest. To me it seemed like a wasted season with nothing accomplished.

Every year is critical. You never know when it will be your last.

Agree completely. This sinking ship has to be rightsized. A real defensive coordinator must be brought in. Discipline must be a part of the program--as clearly there was no emphasis on discipline this year. Les will feel the heat if changes are not made.

Lets look at next years schedule

@ Washington Should be a win
Vandy Should be a win
ULL Will be a win
@ Miss St Should be a win
@ Georgia Probably a loss
Florida Probably a loss
Auburn Should be a win
Tulane Will be a win
@ Alabama Could be a win Toss up
La Tech Will be a win
@ Ole Miss Should be a win
Arkansas Should be a win

So it looks like 10-2 or 9-3 would be likely
I would be happy with 9-3 and would be very happy with 10-2.

I disagree. New DC ... will still be breaking in 3 or 4 quarterbacks ... bottom line: Even if LSU has a bad year, there will still be plenty of reasons to look forward to 2010 (the 2009 recruiting class included).

Why is Ole Miss a win to everyone? I'd just like to know why we're favored by so many people on here.

What a "I'm a scared pussy" thread this is. We'll be back with a vengence. New DC with an attitude and we'll back in the saddle again.

Maybe it's just my homerism, but I just don't see us losing to them 2 years in a row. Recently they have played us tightly, but LSU has seemed to do better when playing Ole Miss in Oxford.

It's not to me. They should be better next year, and it's there. I think we'll win, but it's no gimme. Neither is Arkansas. They will almost definitely be the most improved team in the SEC. That SEC schedule next year is pretty brutal.
