You had a decent idea saying they need an ombudsman/overseer, but I think it would probably just be corrupted like the judges who rubber stamp the warrants now.

For real, is there any protection for anyone who communicates with a foreigner? This is how they would pinch DJT AGAIN. They will just spy on everyone who tries to conduct foreign policy until they get some dirt. That's basically what they did to Flynn.

Depends on how they communicate, but there’s not much if it’s over the phone or the internet.

Because they were monitoring the literal Russian ambassador. Surely even the most MAGA Patriot can concede that is squarely within the purview of the intelligence agencies, right?

But the easiest way to not get accused of playing footsie with the Russians to influence an election is to not play footsie with the Russians to influence an election. Something Manafort, Don Junior and Ted Kennedy just couldn’t seem to grasp

A US citizen in contact with another U.S. citizen in contact with a foreigner is fair game. Google the two hop rule.
