Very rare that anyone manages to get themselves in trouble with doves by actually growing something, it’s when people “plant” something on September 1st. Arkansas is similar to MS, you can manipulate a standing crop and then hunt over it.

You can plant sunflowers anywhere. You can hunt over them as they are. You can mow strips. You can do pretty much any manipulation of the grain that you want. You just can't add more grain or sunflower seeds to the field other than what you planted initially
