It is 100% possible. However so far one area McMahon has been exceptional with is player retention and buy in. When it comes to Wilkinson and Stewart is seems more like they were processed to make space. There's just no way McMahon will put his offense into the hands of a true freshman and a sophomore who hasn't played a single college game especially in a season which it seems to be tournament or bust. The long list of guards we've contacted out of the portal have been those with high production at the mid major level, and proven power 5 talent. We need a game changer at the guard position and while Yates may be that later in his career, we can't afford to trust that he will be one in his first full season.
