My son would no longer be on that team.

Last spring I was at an adjacent ball field where Troy Tulowitzki was working with his kid. Man, Tulo was absolutely brutal to his kid. Cussed at him non-stop for not making perfect throws and for not hitting the ball hard enough. I was truly embarrassed for him, and I don't even know the guy. I felt bad for the kid.

And just as I was thinking things would get better for him, because his mom came to watch him workout with his dad... things got worse. Mom starts chiming in, "I didn't pay $400 for that fricking bat for you to have a shitty swing. You better start hitting the ball right or I'm going to take that fricking bat away and give you a fricking broom stick!"

This is not fiction, hyperbole, or even exaggeration. She told him that he'd have to hit with a broom stick.

his kid plays for the sun devils and he is a nice guy at the tournaments from what i have seen but yea...little fricking intense with his kid. he is opposite of most guys that play in the pros.
