quote:There are different types of point guards. i thought she would be used as a sort of Steve Kerr type of point where she would share the ball handling with the other guards and forwards but would be part of the offense.
HVL purposely came to LSU knowing they needed a PG and wanted to take on that role so I dont understand why people are making HVL to be a victim, she knew what she was getting into and what the team needed when she came here
Instead we treated her like she was John Stockton bringing the ball up the court with no help and when we got into the offense she would set up on the weak side and the ball was almost never swung to her side. It was like the other women were freezing her out to a certain degree.
Of course we finish the season by telling her to guard CC almost entirely with no help (we didn't really help Last Tear either). UConn did a much better job by switching everything and using a bigger stronger player as the primary defender. Instead we had Last Tear and HVL fighting over and under screens for 40 minutes.

I thought this all year. That along with the lack of movement from her teammates when she picked up the dribble.

If she couldn’t be successful at LSU, why would she be in the WNBA?
