I agree with fair market value but there's no freaking way one guy should make 30, 40, 50 million dollars
Most of these guys fail and take a severance.

He should have agreed to no salary, stock option/back end compensation and only gets it if company meets ridiculous (and historic) benchmarks.
Oh...wait..you apparently can't do that either.
