I would have loved to see the response be nothing but Scotty taking a crap on Landry's letter.

But, the reality is Landry is Scott's indirect boss. Landry appoints the BOS, who picks the president of the university, who picks the AD.

We all know by this point that Landry is a vindictive SOB, so they had to tread carefully. I'm sure the athletic department was forced to say something, so they did.

Scott gave Landry an off-ramp, and as we could have expected, Landry is too stupid and vapid to take it.

Also, I'm fairly sure the NCAA doesn't give a rat's rear about what Landry wants.

The good news is... in a few weeks, Landry and his trolls will find a new issue to get all ginned up about, and won't worry about this one anymore.

No, he's not. Landry can't fire him and put in his own crony.

We don't. LSU really should've told him to piss off and worry about actual in-state issues, like a normal governor does.

This is all just a power play for Landry to look like Louisiana's version of Ron Dion DeSantis. 2027 he'll lose the governor election and go for the presidential bid. Nothing this clown do will help the state in the long run.

Both are state employees. One makes $130,000 per year, the other makes $1,300,000 per year.

Governors come and go, LSU sports are forever. You’d have to be an idiot to come out against LSU sports.
