you could see this coming from a mile away. The plan was for HVL to come to LSU to be an elite PG(which would catapult her stock in the WNBA) and win a national championship. Obviously neither happened. Some times things just dont work out. Lots of reasons on why it failed. First off, I think Hailey had massive culture shock and didnt fit in as well with the team as she thought she would. Second, for whatever reason her skill set didnt translate well to PG. This also killed her confidence IMO which led to her overall game just regressing. I watched Hailey a lot at Louisville and she just didnt even look like the same person. She is a much better player than what she showed at LSU. I will say even though her production went down, she played her arse off every single night for LSU. And I respect the hell out of her for getting out of her comfort zone and taking a chance to try and be great. I wonder if LSU told her she was going to be coming off the bench next year and thats why shes transferring. But she will find a better situation and land on her feet. I do however think this was a realty check for her in the way that she needs to start looking for another career beyond college basketball. Because I dont see her making it at the next level. Good Luck Hailey.
