The AAC lost all its best members this past season. UCF, Cinci and Houston went to the B12, only to be replaced with North Texas, UAB, FAU, Rice, UTSA, Charlotte.
It's definitely a gigantic step down in competition at least last season for sure. Still quite a step down in 2022 as well from the SEC.
No in either case it's not MAC level, but it's still a huge gap. Last season massey had the AAC behind the Sun Belt in his conference ratings, thats how low they've dipped.
I'm also not making any argument about Jenkins here in that aspect, but I think you're playing up the new AAC a bit too much if you dont think its way way way worse than SEC competition wise.
