31 mil dead cap hit from the trade for the Bills for this season. Another 10 or so next season. So they actually paid more cap wise to trade him than it would have been to keep him. Speaks to the strong offer and/or the bills really wanting to get him off the roster

If he didn’t have his contract he would have been someone the bills were willing to cut IMHO
