I love how the NFL has record viewership, most revenue ever, etc

Yet somehow they want the public to pay for their stadiums

I think it depends on whether the stadium is owned by the city or the team. If it's owned by the city it is worth considering given the revenue/tax generation for the area as well as the opportunities it affords the citizens to watch a game, concert, or some other event there. If they're asking the public to fund a private stadium, hell no.

Same as it ever was.

Al Davis wanted Angelenos to pay for a new stadium for a decade or at least upgrade the Coliseum.

LA people said, nah we're good, we don't need the NFL....USC is good enough.
