Its Madonna and its not even close. You could make a better case for Paula Abdul as number 2 then Cyndi Lauper.

Brosef, how so? I think Cyndi Lauper’s hits are more enduring to the 80’s nostalgia… plus Goonies.

Madonna was one of the biggest stars of the 80s regardless of sex. I’d say the closest female artist would be Whitney Houston.
