re: South Carolina has $1.8B but doesn't know where the money came from or where it should go

I heard on SC NPR about a month back that they had determined it was a math error and there wasn't actually a pile of cash lying about. I think someone resigned over it. Its doubtful anyone ever gets a penny of it except for the well connected. The state did, if memory serves, send almost all taxpayers a stimulus check a couple of years ago.
