The estimate - Greenville, Texas 60k visitors, Sulphur Springs, Texas 120k visitors.
It will be a shitshow - long gas lines and it will overwhelm food places.
If I could go the night before to the family farm (dead center of the total eclipse) and leave the next day, I'd do it. I can drive there from where I live without refueling. Not worth the risk.

Didn't think about that. Looks like we'll be taking the wife's EV to San Antonio for it.
