If you’ve never been there, practice round allows cameras so taking your own pictures is fun. Little more freedom of movement at the crosswalks because there are not groups playing every hole. Most players do lots of chipping and putting to traditional pin locations. If no one is behind them, they may hit multiple short game shots of different varieties to various potential pin locations. It’s amazing how 2 feet can be the difference between a tap in and a 15 foot putt.

It’s potluck as far as who you might see practicing. The young guys all play, but many of the veterans may just go out and play the back 9.

Many caddies roll balls on every green from multiple directions to multiple locations. It may be practice, but these guys are working on the strategy.

Tournament practice area is worth visiting. They strike it so pure, and can shape it to all 9 windows.

The range and practice area is amazing to see. One again another example of Augusta thinking through everything.
