I don't get the anti-jean crown. Do they just wear slacks to go have a few beers at a sports bar with their buddy when it's 40 degrees outside?

I had about a 5 year span where I didn’t wear jeans. To answer your question, I just wore chinos like 90% of the time.
ETA: chinos are casual pants
