A small use tax, which is basically what this is, is more than fair to get a modern arena and the benefits that come with it, of which there are many.

If they’re going to tax the whole state you would have a better point, but you cannot get good jobs and the people qualified for those jobs to come here without top tier entertainment options. And you can’t get those type entertainment options without this kind of an arena.

You could not be more wrong. New Orleans has the Superdome and Smoothie King center with two professional sports teams and yet NOLA has experienced a decrease in population! You're being delusional about this project having a positive impact on Baton Rouge.

Louisiana is in trouble and a new arena in Baton Rouge shouldn't even be up for discussion.

Remember, there is no such thing as a free lunch. LSU and the public may be sold on the idea that the arena will be free but we all know too well it won't be.
