Would be cool to see a football/basketball guy
Those sports overlap WAY too much. And if you're on scholarship and play 2 sports, the scholarship automatically qualifies as a football scholarship (thanks Bear Bryant). So if you're counting as 1 of the 85, no matter how good you may be at the other, football wins and any overlap defaults to football. Football/basketball just isn't practical with how they overlap. Baseball isn't really either for a position player because you miss so much regular season baseball during football spring training and fall baseball during football season. And young guys need all the hitting reps they can get. Pitchers like Chad Jones could get maybe get their bullpens in, but I don't think it'd work for a starter.
Just not really practical for any of the big sports in today's day and age because they're all year-round. Football and track is probably the only one you're really gonna see these days. And while it might be fun to play football and basketball/baseball while in college, it's not in the player's best interest relative to having a professional career. Your development just gets too stunted.

There are guys that did it successfully (Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, Russell Wilson)
but I think you’re right that it’s a different era. Kids are too focused on making it in 1 sport
