I agree 80’s but really 85-95 was golden years of music.
No matter what kind of music you liked it was great.
Pop: The best
Country: The best
Hard Rock: The best
Regular Rock: Great, but not as great as 70’s
Rap: The best. Could be up for argument though.
R&B: Great but those early R&B singers have to be the greatest

90-95 was an island. Nothing before like it, nothing since. Just prior to the internet changing the landscape.
Lots of one hit wonder "vibe" songs. Tons of nostalgia from that short period.
