Honestly, PCIe 5 is overkill for gaming (on the SSD). Those speeds will be useful for file transfers but PCIe 4, hell, even PCIe3 is great for gaming.
Having PCie 5 for your GPU slot is where the bang for the buck comes as to longevity. When GPU makers start actual making 5.0 cards, then I think thats where it will be useful.

I'd imagine the 5xxx series from Nvidia will be. Of course it won't matter until highend 7xxx series I'd imagine.
