"It's not about good or bad, but about POWER, and who is allowed to use it"
A bit on the nose for current day.
And nothing resembling how Star Wars started out. It was always about good or bad, light vs dark. But now? Such things are arbitrary. It's simply about the lust for POWER.

Well, and redemption of the presumptively irredeemable.
Star Wars lost its way during the prequels, frankly. The "frick you" to the fans that was the sequels really just finished off what Lucas fatally wounded with Jar Jar and company.
This is all fan fiction. Bad fan fiction at that.

Sometimes I wonder if you're regurgitating things you see without thinking about them. You think Star Wars properties should be recycling the same simple themes over and over again, and never attempting to add any sort of nuance or depth to the universe?
Regardless of the quality of this show and other star wars shows/sequels, like, this is what sounds good to you?
If that had sounded good to George, he'd never have written Empire.
