Some truth to this and I will add that a vehicle can be "bought back" due to lack of Parts Availability. We had a 2023 Terrain that needed a fuse block. Ordered early August and by November the buy back process began and finalized early December by the Manufacturer. The fuse block finally arrived mid January 2024 and vehicle was repaired. After repairs GM sent for the vehicle and was told GM will not allow it to be resold so they will crush the car.
