A buddy of mine owned BMW's.. I guess he had about three different ones till finally got pissed with every time he took it in it $2000...
So what did he move onto? AUDI.. Haven't heard any bitching but he might be keeping quiet so he doesn't look like an idiot..

Exactly. Cheap to buy expensive to maintain. Spent years at a supplier for OEMs. Germans and Japanese have very stringent specs. Chrysler at one time was a pretty high standard. What I found is it’s a combination of design and execution. Best design in world doesn’t overcome poor execution.
