First, to establish a nervousness level, they will ask if you ever blew a guy for money
Then they will compare that answer to questions about the murder

Well which way that might make someone nervous would depend on the person. But seriously I get that they say they try to establish a baseline, but wouldn't the questions related to the actual incident in question cause almost any person to have an increased heart rate just given the nature of it and knowledge of what they are being questioned about?
