Just went and read it. It's unbelievable that guy was paid money to be a sportswriter. That was such a poorly written and dishonest article . He starts the article with the Michelle Obama about "when they go low, we go high" . USC's coach had to apologize because her team was responsible. And what does race have to do with Kim Mulkey talking about the situation. His stance is that, because Kim's white, she shouldn't be commenting on a fight between 2 black girls. Even tho, you know, she's the coach of the team.

Terrible article, but here's the coup de grace

quote:

Who did what to who on Sunday isn’t nearly as important as who said what, and how they said it after the game. When college kids fight, we look to the adults to be the leaders in the room. Dawn Staley presented herself as an elder stateswoman of the sport. Kim Mulkey behaved like a clown. Buckle up, the NCAA Tournament is going to be wildly entertaining. Happy Women’s History Month!

also, ventured over to the Tiger Rant to see about this.

hilarious amount of WBB threads.

it is absolutely hilarious that all the media and articles posted are attacking KM and trying to say that Staley handled it well and gracefully.

Staley has been coaching her players to play hard fouling basketball for years and gotten away with it. Any time she gets called on it, she just screams racism.

Going back to my bolded above:

Who did what to who on Sunday isn’t nearly as important as who said what,

is basically an admission of "we don't care if USC has injured and fouled their way into this position, Mulkey calling it out is the real problem."

FTGE.
