Catholics cannot take human life except for defense of others, defense of self, and war.

Human life is defined from conception to natural death.

If one disagrees, one must do serious prayer, reflection, and discussion with clergy. One must also not declare your opposition publicly so as not to lead others into sin.

They technically are no longer Catholic as per Church doctrine.
