Here's a Reddit page with some really good FAQs about dungeons: Reddit. The only spoilers there are that the post tells you which bosses in the main game drop certain chalices needed for dungeons. So you may want to avoid it if you're concerned with seeing boss names.

Here's a dungeon flowchart that's really helpful in understanding how the different types of dungeons and depths work (but it contains spoilers about bosses you may find in certain dungeons): Flow Chart. This flow chart will help if you're trying to 100% the game.

I would not wait that long otherwise you're going to be significantly overpowered for the early dungeons.
