It doesn't bother me in the slightest as an LSU grad... did bother me when I was getting my masters at ULM. ulm/ull are on an even plane, but ULM leans into their regional school identity...they're proud to be who they are...ULL students by contrast try to project the whole UL thing.... guys...yall still play in the same sunbelt conference...you're still a small regional school..which is fine, nothing wrong w it...just don't try and be something you're not..it's odd.

ULL was established in 1898. ULM was established in 1931. They are not on an even plane.

What’s odd is certain people making a huge deal about it. How does ULL referring to themselves as University of Louisiana have any effect on anything?
