He’s so rare & im not sure people realize it yet.
His pitches in some variation have spin & shape similar to certain pitches that guys like Blake snell, Chris sale (2017 version), and Clayton kershaw (2016 version) throw, for instance.
His velocity alone as a starter makes him super rare

Yep. The one inning from him in week 1 was absolutely electric. Week 2 was not as much, but it was clear that part of his ramp up was slightly extending, but 90% fastball. I wish we could see those stat cast numbers, because I thought he was 100% fastball. There were no gloves on today, just on the strict 75 pitch count. He was phenomenal throughout the outing.
