Why is the NBA and NFL so “light on whites”? We’re genetically the same according your DNA studies and whites are 76% of the population. Why aren’t we 76% of the NBA?

Genetically the same, but that is on the whole, not individuals. Physical characteristics come from your parents, not from the overall pool of the population.
The nba represents the elite 0.00001% of basketball players in the world, so a small advantage can be be the edge needed to get to that level.
Look at the McCaffrey family, they aren't better because they are white, they are better because their parents were exceptionally athletic
