Ehhhhh disagree. In fact, many teams steal in that exact situation. Not like in a 1-2 count your staring down a walk and the lineup turning back over. Braswells hit shows you exactly why you steal. Because whether or not Milam is thrown out or braswell strikes out… it doesn’t much matter. Instead he hits a double and you can’t score because you kept the guy at first. Textbook time to steal

The problem in this logic is that if guys move up, the pitch sequence isn't gonna be exactly the same. Just because he doubled in that situation doesn't mean he would have in a completely different one. People do this all the time and it drives me crazy. Butterfly effect and all.
