You do realize, most military are not combat arms?

Even so, why is a 22 year old in military any more deserving of a vote than a 22 year old engineer who pays taxes?

This whole blanket military worship is silly.

Plenty of people contribute to this country. Some are military, some aren't.

Not talking about worship. Talking about having a vote at a young age.

Let's make it clear. Since you brought up, "Most military aren't combat arms." Most people don't pay taxes. The majority of Americans pay very little in federal tax relative to their income. That's a fact.

An 18 y/o has contributed next to nothing to his/her country, but gets the privilege to vote. When the average 18 y/o man was expected to fight for his country at a moment's notice this was an appropriate standard. Now? I don't think so. In fact, it's ridiculous when you consider what the average 18 y/o is.
