I’m not unequivocally saying he shouldn’t sue, I’m saying the first step in the process to a legitimate claim shouldn’t be filing suit with an injury attorney.

Ostensibly someone with the means to drive a nice car has the means to be properly insured. That’s a legitimate observation for him to make if he’s concerned about getting shorted on his total loss relative to his note.
