best ecosystem for battery powered blowers, trimmers, and edgers

If that's all you want out of your battery arsenal, you should be fine with two batteries at 4Ah from EGO, Greenworks, or Ryobi (in that order, IMO)

One thing to remember is that all of these brands offer both a Multi-Head Tool System and also offer most of the same tools as an individual tool. It helps save space and you should still have solid performance. I got the POWERLOAD EGO carbon string trimmer because I enjoy not having to load my own spool and it automatically releases string when mowing so you don't have to stop what you're doing to great it correct. I also enjoy having a lighter string trimmer.

Ryobi is much more budget friendly if you stick with their 18V kit, but I can't imagine having that little power unless you're working with a really small yard and don't worry about your tools as much. They do offer a 40V kit that's way more expensive but will do the job just as well a the other two brands mentioned.

Greenworks will usually have a sale before summer that is really affordable if you're looking to upgrade your tools. I think they get more of a discount on the pushmowers rather than the rest of the tools. The pushmowers are all steel decks if I'm not mistaken. Great thing about them is that they all run 60V tools so you will have no issue with performance.

EGO is my favorite. I have them for my pushmower, carbon fiber string trimmer (with POWERLAD), and blower. I love not having to feel the spool because the POWERLOAD does the job for me. It also releases more string as needed. Battery life is fairly strong compared to most battery powered tools.

Been looking to replace my Kobalt 24v brushless string trimmer for a little while now since it is impossible to replace the bump head on that model. Also the batteries seem to be pure junk after a year-plus of work.

Looking at the ST1521S which is $199 right now at Lowe's.
