JEN-AIR is running a special where you get $1,400 off 2 appliances right now.
their 36" gas range is around $6k and with the $1400 back you can use that for their top-of-the-line dishwasher so you're looking at maybe $6600 after taxes for a range & dishwasher if you go that route. they can be converted from NG to LP; I tihnk pretty much all high end stoves can.
you definitely want dual fuel; nobody wants a gas oven.
i had a hallman in the past and i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. also avoid the illve (sp?) which is a re-branded hallman. the low prices suck people in but they're problem-central.
zline is hit or miss. another lower-budget dual fuel gas range option and costco runs sales all the time with the various models so that is also an option.
we went induction after debating this topic forever. we have a 120g propane tank already but we would have needed to run a line, convert the stove, have the LP company come out and adjust the flow and in the end, the cost worked out about the same for the induction without worrying about gas.
plus we have a really nice outdoor gas grill station with multiple burners and a sear station on it so we have a gas option when we need it.
