My wife and I used to argue about money. I finally opened up an account for her and have a portion of my check auto deposited into her account. It's not an insignificant amount.

Her only responsibility is groceries. I pay for everything else. I can't see her account at all. No one else has access to it. When the money is gone, it's gone until she gets "paid" again. The arguments have completely dried up.

She is a SAHM that earns a salary and has to stay within her budget. Sometimes I look on my account and see "Walmart" where she purchased groceries and "accidentally used the wrong card". She pays it back to our main checking account.

During Covid after a few months of only buying groceries, she was shocked at the balance in her account but didn't put together that she was blowing the remainder every month.

Did same, but she just used it on Jody. I think wasting my money pissed me off more than her taking side dick
