It was a major city with a great future in the 1950s/Early 60s. Corruption, graft and incompetence sealed its fate and lead to the exodus to Houston and Atlanta.

Yep. They closed several around Shreveport a few years ago, including the main branch downtown that was in an old Hibernia location.
