I was stuck on an elevator for a couple of hours. Had cell service so no canonical deal.

You can’t imagine all the random board shite you do. Play with buttons, look for magical hidden buttons. Try to open a door you already know is mechanically locked between floors.
Pry at panels.

The cognitive dissonance at play is interesting. Fairly early on when you are trapped you quickly resolve that you will break this several hundred grand machine to find a way out, as if you deserve it now (even if not bothered by being stuck).
