Pels viewership on Bally's is down 14% from the previous year.

I'm sure Bally's themselves has something to do with that. I pay for it but i wouldn't blame a single person that doesn't want to. It's an overpriced crap service.

Also, I'm sorry, Pels "media" on Twitter can scream until their heads fall off that New Orleans is a basketball town until they're blue in the face but telling yourself that over and over doesn't make it true. On one hand you hear them say "New Orleans is a basketball city" and on the other hand they'll say "If they win games, people will show up." Those two do not work together You're basically saying "New Orleans is full of bandwagon fans". A city that's full of bandwagon fans is not a basketball city.

Truth is, the Pels are 25th in average attendance. The 19-36 tanking Raptors are 7th in attendance and hell the all time bad Pistons sell more tickets than the Pels. That's a basketball city. Basketball cities sell tickets even when the team isn't winning. Pels struggle even when they are having one of their best seasons ever.

Other cities have larger corporate backings. Those corporations buy large blocks of premium seats.
