It should be contained to the heads. The water jacket has voids in it. The motor needs to be tilted up all the way, then back down, to drain all water out before freezing temps. Water and oil got in cycl, but if torn down soon, you should be ok. Replace full heads only.

What do you mean by this? I’m researching parts and it looks like I could buy the head and valves, or the entire head asssmbly. Is that what you are talking about or are you just saying I shouldn’t have to replace the block?
