re: centipede to bermuda plan... (updated with pics 5/14/24)

Thanks for elaborating. I just thought a little context would be helpful to understand why you’re shocked to hear people recommend Bermuda over Centipede.

Bermuda isn’t terribly popular in Louisiana. Our contractors seem to go cheap on grass for new builds. Centipede. Which, in my opinion, looks just fine. I like the color and the texture. It just obviously doesn’t hold up well given how many Centipede lawns need a renovation this year.

There’s a lot more Bermuda from Birmingham to Charlotte in the wealthier more aesthetic suburban neighborhoods. Same for Dallas and Houston from what I can tell.
