I can get this if you like the old floats and designs but the riders come off as really snooty and they barely throw anything at all. Not a fan

Man, frick Proteus. Bunch of pretentious, stingy douchebags. Every year they throw the same red or white cups and the same light up beads. Complete waste of time. My kids went from “throw me something mister” to “will anyone throw anything?” Float after float… we’d watch them not throw a single thing for over 2 blocks. And their floats are old pieces of shite. I’m done with them. I’ll be sure to get out there for Orpheus only going forward.

Those floats are built on cotton wagons that are over 100 years old. There’s hardly anywhere to put boxes of beads on those floats. The things that do get thrown at proteus are always nicer though.

Yea I couldn’t care less about the throws. I enjoy the satirical float designs of Chaos and the beauty of Proteus, along with the history. Hermes and d’Etat are both great organizations too.
