That's where I was for about 5 to 7 years. I am definitely an alcoholic. I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to slip up at least once or twice a year so I don't get down myself about it anymore. But that shite is serious, death from alcohol is a slow horrible way to go. That shite is poison

I was that way for about 10 years but quit drinking for a year or so. I'm fortunate I can have a few here and there and be fine though. Cigarettes are a different story. I quit a long time ago and can never smoke one again. Between xanax, alcohol, and cigarettes, cigs were by far the hardest to get over for me. I know my dad was a hard drinker for probably close to 30. He's in his mid 70s and I swore he wouldn't make it to 50, which is my age now.

Dad quit drinking about 20 years ago.

Sounds like you are writing my life story lol. I was addicted to all three also. I had to go to medical detox or risk dying. Weirdly enough, I used to only smoke when I drank, then when I quit drinking I started smoking everyday. Going to be hell to kick this habit.
