I don't remember Saban's OL recruiting being that great. Not that it was bad, just not better than what Les did.

Saban had one good season, 2001, he signed:
OL Steve Arflin, Jacksonville, Fla. (Fletcher)
OL Jonathan Banks, Baton Rouge, La. (McKinley)
OL Nate Livings, Lake Charles, La. (Washington-Marion)***
OL Rudy Niswanger, Monroe, La. (Quachita Christian)
OL Andrew Whitworth,West Monroe, La. (West Monroe)
OL Ben Wilkerson, Hemphill, Texas (Hemphill)
*** Nate Livings signed in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Made it in for the 2002 class.
Kind of like Chad Lavalais. He signed in 98, 99 and 2000.
I’ve never seen LSU have OL Classes like this ever. But then, Kelly has done a great job building the OL at every stop.
